Mr. Joe “Pops” Lewis Marcus, son of the late Rufus and Mary Lizzie Marcus was born on August 7, 1937 in Camilla, Georgia. He was a construction worker by trade. Mr. Marcus was a member of Community Church of God where he dedicated his life to the Lord. He was united in marriage on January 22, 1967 to his devoted wife, Bernice Barnhill.
Andre' Devon Smith LAFAYETTE, La. -- Andre' Devon Smith, 31, formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in Canaan Church in Goldsboro. Nathanael Trevor Collins, 28, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at noon from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his parents, Wilbert and Patricia Hawkins Collins; one sister, Cameo C. Collins of Los Angeles, California; paternal grandfather, Arthur Collins of Texas; maternal grandmother, Margaret P. Hawkins of South Carolina; and other relatives & friends. Services entrusted to Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
John A McCullough Sr. ,82, of Charlotte died Aug. 19, 2010, at Britthaven of Charlotte. He was a lifelong member of Greater Salem City of God and retired from the Overnite Trucking Co. He was married to the late Annie M. McCullough for 52 years and to this union born Bishop John A. McCullough Jr. (Dekota) and Co-Pastor Cheryl M. Davis (Ivan) and five grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Elizabeth M. Bridges and Carrie M. Corley and one brother Roger McCullough Sr. (Margaret).

Annie Mae McCullough of Charlotte died at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Nov. 6, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Greater Salem City ofGod 5318 Salem Church Road, Charlotte, N.C. The body will lie instate from 11 until noon. The visitation will occur from noon until 12:55 p.m., with the service beginning at 1 p.m. The interment will be in the church cemetery She was born in Ansonville, N.C., to Vera McLendon.Mrs. McCullough graduated from Ansonville High School and later attended Livingston College in Salisbury, N.C. Mrs. McCulloguh retired from PeeblesDepartment Store in Charlotte after 30 years ofservice. She was a member of Greater Salem City of God and attended faithfullyuntil her health failed. When unable to care for herself, she was movedto Gastonia, N.C., where she was a resident of Gaston Place Assisted Living Facility and cared for by her son Johnand his wife, Dekota. When her health declined, she was relocated to Goldsboro, N.C., where she was cared for by her daughter, Cheryl and her husband, Ivan. Mrs. McCullough is survived by her husband of 52 years, John A. McCullough Sr. of Charlotte; their twochildren, Bishop-Elect John A. McCullough Jr. and wife, Elder Dekota GrierMcCullough, of Belmont, N.C., and Minister Cheryl McCullough Davis and husband,Apostle Ivan T. Davis, of Goldsboro.
